Behavior Management System

The Round Rock Opportunity Center has implemented a level system based on points which the student must earn in order to progress to the next level and to complete his/her assigned time. Students must earn their points each day by adhering to the rules. If a student is assigned in-school suspension and causes a disruption, that student may be suspended for a period of 1-3 days.

Level I:

A student must complete at least 120 points before advancing to Level II. (A student may be able to exit Level I after 3 perfect days.) Loss of points during the first 3 days will result in a minimum stay of 6 days. Success is measured by accumulation of points on a daily point card.
GUIDELINES
1. Assigned seating in the classroom.
2. Escorted to and from lunch.
3. Students are permitted to have 2 breaks per day (1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon).
PRIVILEGES
1. Five minutes free time at completion of assignments.
2. Completion of required points – students move to Level II.

Level II:

After completing Level I, the student’s points will be carried forward to Level II and a minimum of 1080* points must be earned before returning to home campus. Success is measured by accumulation of points on a daily point card.

Students assigned for 30 days must earn a minimum of 1,080 points.
Students assigned for 45 days must earn a minimum of 1,620 points.

GUIDELINES
1. Transfer from Level I room.
2. Regular lunch in the cafeteria.
3. Assigned seats in the classroom (teacher discretion)
